Standing In the Shadows of Motown is a live performance of the incredible documentary of the same name. Released in 2002, the documentary told the story of the legendary Motown studio band of the ?60s known as the Funk Brothers, who became an overnight success thanks to film.

Ten years later, Standing In the Shadows of Motown takes to the stage with Peabo Bryson and Leela James performing live as well as legendary bassist James Jamerson's son, James Jamerson Jr. keeping his father's talents alive! The show features an 11-piece Motown ensemble and digital images taken from the film projected onto the stage as the band plays some of James Jamerson and Motown's greatest hits.
