Aussie jazz/funk band The Cat Empire starts the party as they return to the North American road on their biggest tour to date in support of their newest record, Bird in Paradise. The lively band are renowned for their spectacularly catchy music which transcends genres and delivers soaring energy, heart and humor that'll have you dancing all night long.

Spanning the genres of sun-soaked ska, jazz and indie, The Cat Empire loosely formed in Melbourne in1999 as Jazz Cat before becoming the band we know and love today. Their eponymous debut record followed in 2003, spawning the singles 'Hello', 'The Chariot' and 'Days Like These'. Now retooled with a new line up after the retirement of OG bass player Ryan Monro, the cats are definitely back baby!
