Why see Massive Attack?
massive attack 2024 tour
Massive Attack, the iconic Bristolian trip-hop legends, are set to embark on a groundbreaking US tour in 2024, focusing on environmental sustainability and innovative concert experiences. Known for their activism and commitment to climate action, Massive Attack is bringing their pioneering efforts to the forefront of the music industry, making their upcoming tour one of the most eco-friendly yet.
Massive Attack, formed in 1988 in Bristol, England, by Robert Del Naja (3D), Grant Marshall (Daddy G), and Andrew Vowles (Mushroom), are pioneers of the trip-hop genre. Known for their deep, brooding beats and richly textured soundscapes, their music blends elements of electronic music, hip-hop, reggae, and soul. Their debut album, "Blue Lines" (1991), set the stage for their innovative sound, followed by critically acclaimed albums like "Protection" (1994) and "Mezzanine" (1998). Collaborating with various artists, Massive Attack's work features haunting melodies and socially conscious lyrics. Albums like "100th Window" (2003) and "Heligoland" (2010) showcase their continued evolution. Beyond music, the band is committed to social and environmental causes, making them influential both artistically and culturally.
Mezzanine is widely considered as the duo's stand-out and defining album. Featuring in Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time, Mezzanine topped the charts in the UK, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand and is still the groups most commercially successful work to date. Don't miss out on your opportunity to hear this piece of art and other standouts live!
