Judy Collins, Rufus Wainwright, and Indigo Girls

Why see Judy Collins, Rufus Wainwright, and Indigo Girls?

Final Saturday At Tanglewood 2024

The Boston Symphony's annual summer series is a chance to enjoy the wonder of the orchestra in the surrounds of their vacation home at Tanglewood. 2024 is no different, with plenty of fantastic acts on the roster, including this fantastic line up that kicks off the final weekend this year! Featuring Sweet Judy Blue Eyes herself, Judy Collins, Rufus Wainwright and the Indigo Girls, prepare to sway the night away as this trio of unmissable artists takes to the stage on August 30.

Judy Collins

Judy Collins has been making sweet music since the 1960s when she cut her teeth in New York's Greenwich Village among artists such as Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger. Covering genres such as Americana, rock and roll and country, it is as a folk artist that she is particularly known, with her last record, 2022's Spellbound being nominated for the Grammy for Best Folk Album.

Rufus Wainwright

Rufus Wainwright's lush, theatrical pop harks back to the traditions of Tin Pan Alley, cabaret, and even opera. Son of Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle, brother to musical sibling Martha, songwriting is in his blood. He remains firmly out of their shadows though, with a folk legacy of his own that includes seven studio albums and a fully-fledged opera.

Indigo Girls

Since forming in 1985, Emily Sailers and Amy Ray have performed non-stop, showcasing their harmonic talents all over the world. As musicians their combined talents amaze, and as activists in the LGBT community, they have become iconic.
