Boston Ballet - Winter Experience
Moving and altogether stunning
Why see Boston Ballet - Winter Experience?
winter delights
During the final throes of the cold season allow Boston Ballet to warm your passions with a phenomenal display of creativity and elegant movement, in the wonderful Winter Experience production. Featuring three inspiring pieces, the program will play host to not one but two world premieres of trailblazing new pieces.
The first world premiere is Mikko Nissinen's reimagining of the Petipa classic Raymonda, setting it in a single act with brand new choreography and breathtaking costumes. The show also features the return of Helen Pickett launching SISU, her seventh Boston Ballet premiere, a tribute to the boldness of ballet and its endurance against all odds. Finally, Pickett's Petal will shine, set to the music of minimalist composer Philip Glass and film composer Thomas Newman.
