The Paris Opera, 1881...

Hidden in the tunnels deep below the Paris Opera resides a deformed musical genius who stalks the halls and terrorizes the company from the rafters. With his half-covered by his famous white mask, his only happiness comes from tutoring the beautiful, orphaned chorus girl Christine Daae, with whom he has an enduring obsession. Unseen, he teaches the young ingenue to sing 'The Music of the Night.' As her 'Angel of Music', Christine blossoms and steps out of the chorus line onto center stage.

When Christine becomes engaged to another man, the Phantom is driven wild with jealousy and will stop at nothing to have her for himself, even resorting to murder. And so begins a tantalizing tale of forbidden love and supernatural adventure so exciting that over 130 million people worldwide have lost their hearts and minds to the drama.

Did you know?

To achieve the spooky atmosphere of the Phantom's underground lair, the crew use more than 500lbs of dry ice and 10 fog and smoke machines at every performance. Brrrrrr!

Best Day Ever!

I took a bus from Vermont to Boston to see Phantom this past weekend. I have the CD and DVD and had seen the 25th anniversary production from London several times but it was my first time at a live production of it. To me it was the best show ever. I felt chills during some of the songs in the first act and tears were flowing during "Music of the Night." During the second act I sipped my champagne and decided it was my best day ever. ... we almost lost ourselves in it, but not entirely

We thought everything about the show, characters, opera house, amd singing were spot.on except a few minor things wth far reaching consequences. The phantom was trying to hard to make the phantoms part his own - constantly changing or ad libbing, very little stuck to the original stuff, i hated this because the lack of seeing stage hands allowed us to lose ourselves in the show, but him doing this kept jolting us back to reality. Super annoying! Sometimes things felt rushed, and there was not even close to the amount of emotion you should have been.able to expect from such a fantastic show and group of actors, actresses and singers. But other than these things, the show was completely worthwhile and we both loved it ... Read more
