Fun, funny, baudy and upbeat
I can't imagine what the other reviewers expected, and I think maybe one of them didn't see the show at all, based on his "if you want to see a bunch of guys..." remark. There are very few "guys" in the cast, and the night I was there, I think the audience was about 2/3 female. It is a burlesque show, essentially, and that's very popular with women these days...or so my wife told me. There's no full nudity, and the emphasis is on humor, not eroticism. That said, the show is definitely sexy. Just to qualify my comments, I was involved for a couple decades with theatre in Florida, then was a features writer and theatre critic for a major daily newspaper. My wife and I worked together on some shows, and she's an experienced dancer and choreographer. We both liked it. I had trouble deciding how many stars to give it. It wasn't perfect, so I wasn't sure it deserved all five. But I have attended a lot of "flawless" shows that lacked heart. The fifth star is for all the love brought to it.
Not worth the price or the time
I like the previous reviewer, I actually stayed for the entire show. I enjoy body diversity and burlesque and queer empowerment…but this show seemed to try to chaotically bring it all together and the end product was borish and ridiculous.
Slutcracker
Watched 20 minutes or so and left. I’ve seen many theater performances and multiple spin offs but this one missed the mark. Didn’t hit on current relevance or even common adult themes. If you want to watch multiple men jerking off and a scene of actors looking astounded, this is your show.
