Why see Il Volo?

The Italian Pop-Opera Trio Goes Global

In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers appeared on the popular Italian talent show Ti Lascio Una Canzone and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard O Sole Mio. Having successfully survived the rocky road from talent show sensations to respected artists, this trio of Italian pop-opera teenage singers return to the US in 2025 to celebrate over ten illustrious years together!

It wasn't long before Il Volo's managers; Michele Torpedine (who has looked after the careers of Andrea Bocelli and Italian rock star Zucchero) and world-renowned singer/producer Tony Renis who landed a worldwide recording contract for the trio with Universal Music Group which released Il Volo's self-titled debut album in Italy November 2010. The album was a major success, paving the way for a record deal with Geffen in the US, the first time an Italian artist has signed with the label. Expect to hear some of the greatest hits from their repertoire, including 'My Way', 'Grande Amore' and of course, that performance of 'O Sole Mio!'

"Il Volo sings Morricone and more!" exceeded all expectations!

I have been a longtime fan of this very talented, youthful Italian trio. Their voices are simply phenomenal, both as soloists and combined. This particular concert included a moving tribute to Maestro Ennio Morricone, who passed in 2021, along with a well balanced mix of popular Italian classics, a few old American hits, and a couple of famous operatic arias by Verdi and Puccini, as well as an outstanding rendition of "Granada" in perfectly vocalized Spanish. Their solos and the "shifting duets " segments, in which only two of the members sung together, while the third stayed aside, gave each of the singers a chance to showcase his voice and his range at its best. Their stage presence is always captivating and their frequent displays of humor also added to the show, keeping the audience engaged and thrilled throughout the whole two hours. And their encore song "Grande Amore", winner of the San Remo Festival, was the PERFECT ending! ... Read more
