Exceptional young musicians celebrate the end of their Tanglewood Music Center summer studies with a series of concerts and recitals
Founded during the tenure of Boston Symphony Orchestra music director Serge Koussevitzky from 1924 to 1949, the Tanglewood Music Center is a premier music academy with the resources of the great symphony orchestra at its disposal - fostering budding young talent under the tutelage of its world renowned musicians and special guests. An offshoot of this celebrated institution, the Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship Program takes on young professional musicians for an intensive summer long program of study and performance.
As part of the culmination of the program, the brand new TMC Fellows perform a series of celebratory concerts in close partnership with the orchestra, their mentors and guest performers. Don't miss the annual TMC Vocal recital, featuring the music of Milhaud, Tailleferre, Poulenc, Honegger, Durey and Auric.
