TODD in SD

I have seen Todd in concert over 20 times and this one was one of his most inspiring performances. No monologue, no political statements: just straight ahead song after song bouncing from genre to genre in a fashion unfamiliar to mere mortals of pop music. This is a seriously thought out professional show that should not be missed. Experience this tour if you can. Congratulations to Todd and his extremely precise and soulful band. WHAT A TREAT! ... Unpredictable indeed! The one thing that was predictable though is just how amazing a musician and showman Todd Rundgren is. Very impressive show with Todd and his band in excellent vocal and instrumental form. The set-list had a very good mix of classic Todd songs along with some surprising and quirky, but well arranged and executed songs that came from left field. Some of the unpredictable tunes included "Don't Bogart That Joint" (Little Feat), "500 Miles" (The Proclaimers), "I Don't Want To Grow Up" (Mary Martin from Peter Pan?"), and "Mar-a-lago Brillo" (aka Camarillo Brillo by Frank Zappa). For those fans of Todd that might have been not as familiar with most of the music on his last few tours, the collection of his own songs he performed last night should have most surely satisfied. "I Don't Want To Tie You Down", "A Dream Goes on Forever', "Can We Still Be Friend?", and "I Saw The Light" were among those performed to perfection. All in all an awesome night of fun! ...
