Huntington Theatre Company kicks off their 2019/20 season in style with this much-anticipated world premiere of this brand new play from Dan McCabe, directed by Tony Winner and Golden Globe nominee Billy Porter. Telling the story of one stoop in Queens and the unlikely alliances forged upon it, The Purists is a contemporary look at friendship, self-expression and the uniting effect of music on our differences.
Whilst this represents the first time one of McCabe's works has debited with Huntington, it also marks a welcome return for Porter, who in addition to his front of curtain work in Kinky Boots and FX's Pose, is an accomplished director and Huntington favorite.
