Leslie is so versatile and engaging! His twist on Christmas standards and incorporating new music created a fantastic show. His musicians were awesome as well.

LOJ was simply the best. What a wonderful evening, shared with friends. His range, his choice of songs were awesome. The musicians were equally great as well. I can’t wait to see him again! Bring him back to Charlotte soon!

Fabulous evening with Tony Award winner Leslie Odom, Jr. and our own DSO. Mr. Odom has a range and versatility most actors/singers would die for. And he took full advantage of the DSO and Orchestra Hall to show his stuff. He is not a one shot wonder.

First, let me say Mr. Odom has a great voice and his accompanying musicians were excellent. Unfortunately, this was all distracted from by the totally unnecessary light show and poor balance between Mr. Odom and the accompaniment. The light show was periodically blinding and added nothing, rather like a badly lit Vegas show. Mr. Odom was frequently poorly lit and difficult to see. The accompaniment frequently overwhelmed the voice. The drumming was too loud and, again, distracted from the voice.
