The play was excellent. There were standout actors especially the man who played Che, however the girl who played Eve Peron was very hard to understand so a lot was lost in understanding the show. I went home and watched Madonna play the part and her diction was perfect compared to this girl. She has a nice voice but her diction was horrible for a lot of the songs. Because this play is all singing and no dialogue, it is so important to be able to understand what she is saying.

I have seen Evita on several big stages. The performance in San Bernardino had scaled-down staging and sets. Artistically, however, it was a powerfully-done first class production. The lead characters were all excellent singers, and I felt they were every bit as good as those I had seen in national tours and on Broadway. Evita herself stood out even more.....a wonderful evening.

We are longtime subscribers to Drury Lane and I enjoy their shows however, the female lead in this show was so strident that the words were lost. The males leads were great especially the actor who played Che.
