Amazing evening with Donny and Marie

I saw their show in Las Vegas. It was fantastic--lots of variety and energy and the talent---amazing and heartwarming.

I loved this show. The band completely overpowered the two singers, but both Donny and Marie cemented their status as icons. Still beautiful, Marie remains at her best with country. Neutra systems and other interventions have done their part but there is no question about her commitment to hard work and exercise. Her choice of Nessun Dorma is curious: There are so many female arias that she might have chosen that, with her voice;, could have blown us away. None-the-less, for a country /pop star, she gave us a fabulous rendition in an elegant Asian costume surrounded by stage fog. They both dance like 25 year olds and both are awesome. I have never been a real fan of Donny's treacly pop ballads but last night he won me over. His performance just has to be seen. I was hoping for Any Dream Will Do but Donny sang another Joseph piece that was excellent. They went overboard with self congratulations but some how pulled of even that (it was a retrospective, after all) Great Show
