Blown Away
I remember Carole King's Tapestry album from my high-school days. It isthe soundtrack to many of my memories of the time. I had no idea though of the prolific talent of Carole King - writing songs for the Shirelles, Bobby Vee, Aretha Franklin and others BEFORE embarking on her own career as a performer. The show cleverly weaves her emergence as a writer and, later, as a performer with exceptional engagement across changing tastes in music and her own growth and challenges with a difficult marriage. At times I laughed, at times I had tears in my eyes but I enjoyed this show like no other. It was Beautiful!!

Beautiful The Carole King Story
First time to the Incline Theatre. 5 stars because of the following. 1 star for The view and location which is very impressive. We brought a 13 yr old young man and he made the effort to cross the street to snap pics of Downtown Cincy. Parked on the second level of the parking garage. Arrived shortly after 7 and there we a handful of spaces available. Purchased tickets via phone and Will call was easy and avoid fees and they sent a reminder with suggestions on parking and eating which gets 1 star. Concessions reasonably priced and available 1 star. Seats of theatre were spacious and comfortable. Another star to the cast and crew. The actress that played Carole had an amazing range and was very believable in the role. Another star for the story itself. It keeps you engaged and lets you in on how the music industry worked in the 60s and 70s.
