Why See Boston Symphony Orchestra - Kernis, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky?

A Pianist's dream triple program - in rehearsal!

This double program rehearsal will be led by conductor Ken-David Masur, who has been lauded by the San Diego Tribune as "fearless, bold" and a "life-force". Coming to prominence during the 2016/17 by making his debut filling in for Tugan Sokhiev, he is now a leading light of the BSO. This triple program celebrates the piano, with guest Russian pianist Nikolai Lugansky; the program features Musica Celestis by Kernis, Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 and Symphony No. 2, Little Russian by Tchaikovsky.
